DLSWCC Members' performances lead to rewards with selections

ASEAN Women’s T20 Open in Bangkok

The Hong Kong National Women’s team will depart are taking part in the ASEAN Women’s T20 Open in Bangkok, Thailand. The tournament will give the squad a good opportunity to play against countries they do not often face.

‘This is a good chance for experience players to step up and put in some strong performances, which were lacking in the last tournament.’ said the Team Coach

Four Members of the DLSW Wasps have been selected to play for the HK Team including: Shanzeen Shahzad, Mehreen Yousaf, Maryam Bibi and Rajvir Kaur. Akasha Yousaf has been named in the reserve squad.

ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Zimbabwe 2018

The Mens squad will be represented by the HK and DLSWCC captain Babar Hayat in the all-important World Cup Qualifying Tournament in Zimbabwe which is ongoing.

Others members from DLSWCC including Eshan Khan, Nadeem Ahmed and Sahid Wasif will also be called upon to ensure HK retains their ODI status. Wakas Khan and Haroon Arshad were named in the reserve squad

The HK T20 Blitz

The HK T20 Blitz was a big success in Hong Kong in Feb 2018 and the following DLSWCC members were represented in their respective teams. Congrats to JD Jaguars and Lantau Galaxy Gladiators for reaching in the finals
