DLSW JKN Become Elite (Sunday) League Champions after 5 years


A recap of the last three games of JKN team which were played in the space of 4 days.

Match 8: The first match of the three games in 5 days was on 30th April Sunday. JKN won the toss against HKCC Wanderers and posted 249 all out in 48 overs at Hong Kong Cricket Club. Amandeep Singh opened the innings and led the batting with 62 runs. The Spinners then caused the bulk of damage to the Wanderers chase taking 7 wickets between them. Nadeem 4 wickets for 19 runs included 3 wickets of the top order batsman. Eshan Khan cleaned up the middle order with 3 wickets for 15 runs in 7 overs. The match was won by 172 runs.

Match 9: A day later, JKN played Pakistan Association at Mission Road (1st May 2017). Once again JKN won the toss and Amandeep Singh top scored with 84 runs. Barbar Hayat took over from Amandeep Singh with 79 runs and the JKN Batting was able to put up a good score of 285/5 in 50 overs. Pakistan Association were all out for 191 runs and Eshan Khan was the star bowler taking 5 wickets for 49 runs. JKN won by 94 runs

Match 10: With one day’s break JKN were back on the field at KCC on 3rd May to play KCC Infidels. The Story was the same, JKN won the toss batted first and put up a good score of 263/6 in 50 overs. Barbar Hayat once again posted 69 runs but the top scorer was Waqas Khan with 88 runs. Ehsan Khan once again took 4 wickets for 23 runs in his 10 overs and the Infidels were all out for 136 runs win. A massive 127 Runs victory for JKN

The Last week of wins with bonus point and consistent performance by JKN Batters and bowlers let JKN to win the Elite (Sunday) League Championships after 5 seasons.
