JKN and Knights register big wins as Wakas Khan, Nadeem Ahmed, Munir Khan and Aryan Shetty shine!

DLSW JKN

The JKN side celebrated their last game of 2016 with a convincing 151 run win against KCC Infidels at Kowloon Cricket Club on 18th December. Winning the toss and deciding to bat first, the JKN side posted a strong score of 306 runs in their 50 overs for loss of 5 wickets. The score was built on the back of Wakas Khan's 96 runs not out. Wakas Khan showed why he is considered to be an upcoming star of Hong Kong Cricket. Babar Hayat, Amandeep Singh and Haroon all supported with 40 plus scores.

The KCC side were never in the hunt. JKN opened with spinner Nadeem Ahmed who demolished the Infidels line up with figures of 5 for 43 to have the Infidels all our for 155 runs in only 35 overs.

DLSW Knights

The Knights also had a good day at Mission Road against Sri Lanka Cricket Club. Knights won the toss and decided to bowl first and got the Sri Lankans all out for only 116 runs. Saqib Mahmood was the most effective bowler with 3 wickets for 16 runs in his 8 overs. The Knights chased the target in the 31st over however lost 6 wickets doing so but managed to gain the bonus point. Aftab Hussain was the top scorer as a opener with 38 runs.

DLSW Wasps

The Wasps suffered a 87 run defeat to HKCC Willow Wielders at PKVR Reservoir Ground. The HKCC Side decided to bat first and were all out for 141. The Wasps bowlers did well to restrict the Willow Wielders to this scores. Shanzheen, Jaswinder and

Akasha picked up 3 wickets each and caused the bulk of damage to HKCC's innings. However in reply the Wasps only managed 54 runs with Akasha top scoring with 17 runs.

U15 League Darby

The U15 DLSW Tigers played the U15 DLSW Lions prior to the Senior Zulu Dar Trophy Darby Match at Mission Road on 17th January.

The Tigers won the toss and immediately decided to bat. The highlight of the entire day was the batting of two youngsters Moner Khan and Aryan Shetty. Both of whom were not out in the end. Munir was unbeaten on a 100 and had to retire while Aryan was close with 94 runs not out. Their innings took the Tigers to 254 for 5 in 30 overs.

The score proved too daunting for the Lions who folded for 101. Hassan picked up 4 wickets for only 2 runs.

Next Weekend

With 2 games in the coming weekend for DLSWCC

The important 2 Day Quaid -I -Azam Match against Rivals Pakistan Association on 24th and 25th December at Mission Road and a social game between DLSW Sarjan Ninjas vs Madrac CC on 26th December at PKVR Park
