DLSW Wasps lose few crucial games, remain undefeated in Sixes Competition


Women's League 35 Overs

The Wasps lost a few crucial games in November in the 35 over Women League competition. On 19th November 2016 at PKVR Reservoir they played HKCC Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers batted first and scored 170 for 8 wickets in their 35 overs. The Wasps were all out for 100 runs and lost the game by 70 Runs.

On 4th December 2016, the DLSW Wasps team played Kowloon Cricket Club at Po Kwong Village Reservoir Ground. KCC won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Wasps were all out for 65 runs. None of the Wasps players scored double figures except Shanzeen who top scored with 26 runs.

The Kowloon Cricket Club girls won the game with 4 wickets to spare thanks to Keenu Gill top scoring with 40 runs. Shanzheen and Marayam both picked up 3 wickets to make KCC work for their runs.

On 10th Decmeber 2016, HKCC Cavaliers played their second game against DLSW Wasp and once again won the toss and batted first. This time they posted an even bigger score of 214 runs thanks to 56 runs from Mary Henderson. The Waps started well with 44 runs from opener Shanzheen and 26 runs from Marayam Bibi, however they collapsed from 101/3 to 124/8 (All out). Losing the game by a massive 90 runs.

Women's Sixes

The Wasps played 2 Sixes game on 20th June 2016. Beating both HKCC Cavaliers and Cricket Hong Kong's Development Side.
