Ansh, Shail & Pratik score 50s in first round of Junior Cricket Matches

U17 League

The U17 League season started with a Darby match between DLSW Cheetahs and DLSW Sarjan. Suresh Pandey was the umpire for the game on 17th September at St Stephen's College. The Cheetah's captain Shail Shah won the toss and had no hesitation to bat first.

Shail Shah and Vishesh opened the batting for Cheetahs and Shail top scored for his team with 60 Runs. Vishesh Chipped in with 35 before falling LBW to Littles' bowler Heet Dani. Navdeep Singh, captain of the DLSW Littles side, picked up couple of quick wickets and put some pressure on the Cheetahs. Pratik and Gahrav picked up two wickets each and Navdeep picked up 3 wickets for 30 runs to keep the Cheetahs to 222 all out in 28.2 overs

Littles innings lost early wickets with the top 4 batsman were back in the pavilion rather quickly. The Cheetahs bowlers doing the Damage wityh Aryan, Darshan and Jainam taking 2 wickets each.

However the Little's batsman Pratik did not want to give up without a fight, coming in at number 8, Pratik remain unbeaten with 58 runs and taking the Little's' score to a respectable 180 all out.

The DLSW Cheetahs beat DLSW Littles by 42 Runs

U13 League

There were two U13 Games played in the first round of Junior Cricket. DLSW Littles played HKCC Wanderers on 17th September 2016 at PKVR Reservoir. DLSW Littles won that game comfortably by 10 wickets. HKCC Wanderers decided to bat first and were all out for 107 runs. Ahsan Ali was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets

The Littles openers came in and didnt give a chance to anyone else to bat. Ansh Doshi scored 73 not out and was supported by Sparsh Ghevriya with 26 not out. The target was chased in 8 overs.

DLSW Lions played USRC on 18th September 2016 at KGV. The USRC team won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Lions start well with the first wicket to fall on 25 runs. Opener Jagrag carried the bat and was not out at 77 at the end of the 25 overs. The Lions scored 191 for 6 in their 30 overs.

The USRC team was all out for 111 run thanks to a brilliant 5 wickets by Mohammed Kaif for 19 runs in his 6 overs. DLSW Lions beat USRC Elite by 80 runs.

U11 League

Three Teams were due to open their season. DLSW Tigers was due to play DLSW Cheetahs but got the win as Cheetahs did not have enough players on the ground. DLSW Lions played DB Smashers and lost their game by a massive 157 runs. DB Smashers posted 252/0 in their 16 overs, the Lions were 95 for 2 wickets in their 16 overs.
